SUPPLY OF 12 MOTOR VEHICLE (4WD) AND 17 MOTOR CYCLES

Invitation for Bids

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice for this Project that appeared in Development Business, issue no. WB4892of October,2015.

2. The United Republic of Tanzania has received a credit No.5589-TZ from the International Development Association toward the cost of the South West Indian Ocean Fisheries Governance and   Shared Growth program(SWIOFish), and it intends to apply part of the proceeds of this credit to payments under the Contract for the SUPPLY OF  12 MOTOR VEHICLE (4WD) AND 17 MOTOR CYCLES

3. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries   (Fisheries) now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for Supply of   the following:

Bidders may bid for a single lot or combination of all lots, but in any case bidders must quote for full quantity in each lot. The purchaser shall evaluate the bids for each lot and award the contracts on a lot-by- lot basis or a combination of lots whichever is more economical. Bids not quoting for full quantities in a lot will be considered non-responsive

4. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures  as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by         The World Bank      Borrowers(“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

5.    Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Project Coordinator,           South West Indian Ocean Fisheries Governance and   Shared Growth Project (SWIOFish) or Secretary Ministerial Tender Board officeMvuvi House at Temeke Veterinary Complex, along 131 Nelson Mandela Road Dar-es-Salaam

Tanzania Tel +255-22-21861910/2860470 and inspect the Bidding           Documents at the address given below from 0900 hours to 1500 hours Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays.

6.     A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be purchased by interested bidders on submission of a written application to the address below      and upon payment of a nonrefundable feeof Tshs. 100,000.00 or an equivalent amount in a freely convertible currency.The method of payment will be cash or banker’s cheque payable to        the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries (Fisheries)

7     Bids must be deposited in the Tender Box located in Mvuvi House Room No. 4 in the Ministry of Agriculture Livestock and Fisheries,Temeke Veterinary Complex 131 Nelson Mandela Road, at or before 10.00hours local time on 20^th September,2016. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at 10.00hours local time on 20^th September,2016.

8.    All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of Tzs 15,000,000/= or equivalent payment in any freely convertible currency.
